Fabian Vallejos & Nina Kollbrunner, Boliva & Sweden

In the spring of 2007, Fabian Vallejos was hastily paired up with Nina Kollbrunner for a qualification competition for the Swedish Championships. A week later the came second in main event in Stockholm, Sweden. The successful marriage continued for for the qualification competition for the World Salsa Championships. After qualifying in September 2007, they finished twelth in Orlando in the on 1 division. They are now coming to the Scandinavian Salsa Congress to let us all enjoy their world-class choreography.

Fabian Vallejos was born i Argentina and grew up in Bolivia. He started dancing six years ago and today he runs his own dancing school together with wife and teaching partner Tove Vallejos. Fabian is aslo half of a very popular disco/duo, the other half being Patrik Ollas. Together they have performed in several salsa congresses, among them Münich and Stockholm.

Nina Kollbrunner has been dancing practically all of her life, and is today successful in two very different styles: hip hop and salsa. She is a member of Twisted Feet, one of Sweden's most successful hip hop groups. At the same time she is a member of Salseras Dance Company, she also pairs with Fabian Vallejos, and on top of everything, she co-owns a dance school.

Nina Kollbrunner

Utbildad på Angeredsgymnasiets Yrkesdansprogram där den moderna dansen stod högst på listan. Men passionen för salsan och streetdansen var för stark! Hon är med i den framgångsrika street-gruppen Twisted Feet och tjejgruppen Salseras Dance Company. Har uppträtt för bland annat ”Lugna favoriter, ”Riks FM” och på olika salsakongresser i Los Angeles, Paris, Barcelona och London…för att bara nämna några!

Nina och Fabián vann tillsammans SM 2007 och kom på en 12:e plats i World Salsa Championship i Orlando i December 2007. Hon har undervisat både i Salsa och Streetdance i flera år och har precis öppnat en dansskola i Göteborg.

Fabian Vallejos

I was born in Argentina and grew up in Bolivia. Currently I am studying computer programming at the GTI School in Gothenburg, Sweden.

I am also a salsa instructor and choreographer on L.A. and Cuban styles. Salsa is my passion and addiction since I started dancing six years ago.

Three years ago, I danced with “ Fuerza Rica” salsa dance group and performed different shows with them in several congresses.

I have worked with Patrik Ollas on a joyful disco/salsa choreography presented at different places of Gothenburg, at the “Salsa Festival 2007” in Munich, Germany, and at the “Hot Salsa Weekend 2007 “in Stockholm, Sweden.

Together with Daniela Torres I performed at the Scandinavian Salsa Congress 2006.

I have also choreographed shows for a couple of dancegroups for the carneval in Hammarkullen.

In spring 2007 I started to work with Nina Kollbrunner, with whom I won a salsa competition in Gothenburg and a week later the second place in the Swedish National salsa championship (SM-2007) in Stockholm, Sweden.
On September 2007 I and Nina won the Scandinavian classification to the third World Salsa Competition in Orlando Florida USA.There we finished in twelfth place.
